A Sweet Spin

What could be more quaint than a batch of butter you churned yourself? In a world where even bananas can be bought pre-peeled, pretty darn quaint. Packed with a basic butter how-to along with several flavored butter recipes, this butter churner features all the components you need to whip up a fresh addition to your breakfast spread. Pour the whipping cream into the churner, turn the handle, and enjoy a fresh batch of butter. Made in China.

This has been so much fun to use. My grandson and I made butter for breakfast at his last visit. Creating good memories with him is priceless. I have such fond memories of making butter with my grandmother. This churn is so easy to use and makes the perfect amount for a family meal. I have enjoyed this so much that I bought 2 more as gifts for family members! :) I am very happy with this butter churn. ♡

I was looking for a unique 50th birthday gift for a friend who is somewhat a "country cook." He especially loves to bake old fashioned pies, so I thought he would love this. For almost 40 bucks, I expected it to look and feel "substantial." It turned out to feel more like an inexpensive "stocking stuffer" than a stand-alone gift for a special occasion. I was disappointed and embarrassed when he unwrapped. (Because I paid $5 for gift wrapping I hadn't seen it in person until he unwrapped it.) He seemed to like it but it did not make the impression I had intended.

I bought this butter churner for my 90-year old mother who made butter as a child in Europe. She loves it! Not only does it make the best butter ever but it brought back wonderful memories of happier days.

              Comments about UncommonGoods Butter Churner:

Have only had opportunity to try once so far - was churning forever and no progress towards butter at first - let it sit and came back to it and tada! butter in less than 10 minutes! Tastes delicious too! I believe the issue was the cream was too cold to start with, easy fix by simply leaving the cream out on the counter longer than the 2 hours in the directions.
Gears were a little sticky, I'm hoping that is something that will work itself out as it gets worn in.
Fun little gadget, delicious homemade butter, looking forward to using it again!
