Bee-utiful !
I absolutely love this sweet as can "bee" recipe book holder. I purchased it for my son and his wife. He is a bee keeper and the two of them are venturing out to start a business with their bees. They have worked so hard and soon they will be purchasing their first home. This will be a house warming gift along with a book filled with family recipes. I can hardly wait to give it to them!

Granddaughter loved it!!!
Will start out with the simple stuff. Well made and prompt delivery. I ordered it to place a well loved cookbook on it. Granddaughter came by and was drawn to it. The second time she can by and mentioned how adorable it was and how much she loved it, it went home with her. I am thrilled that she is enjoying learning how to cook and bake and this simple and cute book holder is making her that much more enthusiastic. It really is cute '

Is there a lip that keeps the book open?

This stand does not have a lip. Your cookbook will stay open because of the angle the stand.
