An Absolute Must!!
I absolutely love this little guy! I put inconsistent as the one and only con because sometimes the eggs are a little underdone, but I think that might just be the nature of eggs. We also get our eggs from friends, not the store, so they aren't as uniform in size. But with that single gripe out of the way, I want to get right into all the pros. - Quick and Easy; no heat up time, no greasing the pan, just crack the egg into the pot and throw it in the microwave. I used to avoid breakfast because I need something quick and quick options are often unhealthy, but now I can make an egg in less than a minute and start my day with some protein! - Versatile; before I bought this, the quickest way I could make eggs was to scramble them, but scrambled eggs have a certain taste. Egg whites do not, giving me the opportunity to throw in just about any seasoning in my cabinet for all kinds of different flavors, and now that option is even quicker than the scrambled eggs. Easy Clean-Up; I use a fork to pull the egg out and then use a scrub brush to get off the residue while it's still hot; if I use butter, I don't even need the fork and just flip it over and let it fall out. I could go on and on! It's easy to store due to its size, the ceramic is thick, the carving on the bottom assures me it is handmade, the price is perfect, I don't need a mitt of any kind to pull the lid off after cooking... like I said, I could go on. This egg maker is my new favorite kitchen appliance, and technically, it isn't even an appliance!

I love this little beauty!
I had purchase a slightly bigger version created by an artist in Western NC years ago that met an untimely encounter with the tile floor and have been searching for a replacement since. This one is perfect for a two egg omelette at a minute and a half in my microwave. Makes light and fluffy eggs in a flash. I'm very pleased.

GREAT PURCHASE!
This microwave cooker is a real blessing for me as I have become a resident in a senior facility with only a microwave and 2 burner cooktop. It really works!

Perfect gift for Mom
This is the perfect gift for someone who doesn't like to cook. The quality is excellent (eggcellent? ha!) and it's really nice looking, so it's practical and special. I bought it for my mom, who is having a hard time adjusting to cooking for just herself. She is going to love it!

Even my boyfriend will eat eggs now
We love the stoneware microwave egg maker so much! Our favorite breakfast to create with this is an egg "McMuffin." So many variations are possible, the egg cooks up in a flash, fluffy tender and flavorful. No more take out breakfast for us! It's a winner. And nice to look at, too!

Excellent product
I love to cook an egg quickly in the microwave and is by far the best cooker I've used. Much cheaper versions found on the internet, but you get what you pay for. The handle does not get hot after a couple of eggs like the cheapies do.

Is the glaze lead free?
Verified reply from Andy
Hi! Since 1971, the Food and Drug Administration established and began enforcing limits on leachable lead in ceramics and tableware. If you purchased your dishes after that and they are made in the USA, they are safe to use.

Could you please print the instructions for the egg cooker? My paper with the instructions disappeared before I had a chance to use the product! Thank you!

Hello! These are the directions direct from the artist: Spray with non-stick spray. Crack one egg into baker and poke the yoke. Microwave for 40 to 50 seconds depending on your microwave. Slide egg out.

Can you add other ingredients to the egg for an omelet.
Verified reply from Amy
This is optimized for just cooking plain eggs, but we highly recommend our ceramic omelet maker as well: https://www.uncommongoods.com/product/45-second-omelet-maker

How many eggs will this hold?

The Egg Maker works best cooking one egg at a time, but it's so speedy you'll still have breakfast done in a jiffy!

how does it work? are instructions shipped with it? how much water is used etc....
Verified reply from Melody
Using water is up to you! To use this item, just crack one egg into the maker and poke the yolk, cover, and microwave for 40-50 seconds for sunny side up. If that's not eggactly what you want, you can beat your egg before you pop it in the microwave and chop with a fork when it's done to get an eggcellent scrambled breakfast.
