Toast of the Town

From the spot you met your sweetie to the locale of your favorite watering hole, this unique set of coasters celebrates the neighborhoods that make your city yours. Using her passion for typography and antique maps, graphic designer Aymie Spitzer maps out four sections of a city onto each coaster. She finishes one coaster with the city's name and established date, creating a rustic metropolis in cedar. This charming set is a toast-worthy way to celebrate hometowns, new stomping grounds or favorite corners of the country. Designed in Brooklyn. Made in Florida.

“One of my favorite parts about designing is having the honor to work with people who are pushing the world forward.”

Graphic Designer Aymie Spitzer has a type. Or, rather, a thing for type. Her passion for lettering found in antique publications such as maps and foundry specimens inspires her work, which captures some of that aesthetic while telling the story of each city. She lives in San Francisco.

The craftsmanship is high quality & the coasters are beautiful.

Would certainly buy these again.

I was very happy with the design of the coasters. They're very attractive and the cutouts are very clean, sharp, and appear well-made. However, as a functional coaster, I am relatively unhappy with the product. Coasters are sort of meant to get wet, and these are made of a wood and cork, so when wet, my coasters warped. I wish they were lacquered or encased in something to protect them from moisture. Now they won't rest flat on the table, and are no longer useful as coasters. I would recommend buying these as a coffee table decoration, but not a durable or particularly useful coaster. And don't even think about spilling anything on them - the raw wood will absorb anything.

Beautiful design and quality; however, these coasters don't have some of the major neighborhoods in Chicago (e.g., River North, Gold Coast). Really wish one of the coasters had some of the near north neighborhoods.

I bought these coasters as a gift and they have been the perfect! They are a great way to spruce up a living space without going over the top.The city themes are definitely a nice touch for a living room coffee table. The coasters are also made of a cork-like material so they do an excellent job of protecting wood surfaces. I was also thrilled with the customer service after a shipping issue (not to any fault of their own). Overall I am very happy that I made this purchase.

I needed "big girl" coasters and happened to stumble across these. My girlfriend and I enjoyed a vacation in New Orleans last year so these were an excellent find.
