It began simply, as all good things do, with the molding dough recipe Cammie's mom made for her as a child. Cammie and Kip wanted to give her kids, Jack Maggie, and Gus the opportunity to play, create and get messy, but they didn't want to have to worry about what's hidden in their art supplies.

So, after incorporating natural ingredients into the recipe, the dough was transformed into eco-dough. Rich in color, soft in texture and with a delicate aroma like no other. From there, the couple's business evolved.

    Comments about UncommonGoods Eco-Dough:

Genius idea by the creators to use rosemary oil in the dough--it smells great but not tasty, if you know what I mean. The colors are bright but not lurid, and the containers seal well so the dough doesn't dry out, unlike with PlayDoh containers, though adding a little water from time to time is helpful. Two months later, my nephew still plays with the dough nearly every single day. This is a great gift for the young ones!

      Comments about UncommonGoods Eco-Dough:

This product looks amazing. I love that it's made with all natural ingredients! We unfortunately had to return this gift. This review is only to bring an allergy issue to the attention of anyone buying this as a gift. My 3yo has a wheat allergy. The ingredients list "flour" which I interpret as wheat flour so this would not be safe for my child to use.

        Comments about UncommonGoods Eco-Dough:

I bought eco-dough for my nephew, as a birthday present. I can attest that this product is truly all natural as the magenta (beet) dyed dough was covered in mold upon arrival. My nephew loved the remaining colors that he was able to play with, and Uncommon Goods provided me with a completely new pack of dough within a week. I still stand by this excellent product, and Uncommon Goods impeccable customer service. Eco-dough and a science project bonus. My nephew loved it all!

            Comments about UncommonGoods Eco-Dough:

The Eco-Dough was for a niece's 2 y.o. son. Gave it to him at a family gathering, looked over to see how he was enjoying it, and there was his dad, canisters open and playing with the dough! That says it all. Appeals to grown-ups and toddlers alike. The feel and smell of it is truly amazing and superior to that known brand. You can tell it's a quality product.

My almost 2 year old son loves this play dough. It has a great consistency, very soft and malleable, very moist and I really love the colors. I wish that instead of brown there was a pinkish/ red, but otherwise no complaints. We've only been using it for two days but I suspect it will last a while.

                    Comments about UncommonGoods Eco-Dough:

I bought this for my two year old sons birthday. He's still a little young for the creative play but I wanted to introduce him to new textures. The only downside (which is an upside...) is that the dough smells good - so occasionally he tries to eat a piece (thank goodness it's non-toxic!)! But, it's nice having peace of mind that if he does - he'll be fine. Great product. Very happy!
