Care

Food, oven, and microwave safe. When baking in stoneware, be sure to always use "even" heat (no stove top and no broiler) and never "shock" the piece (never from the refrigerator or freezer into an oven, room temperature baker into a 350 degree preheat oven is fine. If going hotter let the baker sit at 350 for a few minutes before increasing the temperature).

Beautifully Made

Unfortunately, I tried twice to make the bread based on the included recipe but even with 100% fresh ingredients, the dough did not rise and the bread was somewhat tasteless. I will use a different recipe next time.

Yes, the bread baker can be used to make any type of bread. We would recommend that you make a half-recipe as the bowl is intended to bake a half-loaf. If you are baking at temperatures higher than 350 degrees, we would recommend that you start at 350 and, after a few minutes, gradually turn the temperature up. You never want to shock stoneware.
