Good size and pretty much indestructible for small children to learn about the world.
My kids use this map to identify locations they're reading about, plan dream vacations and as a colorful piece of art. We love it!
Hanging the map in his bedroom
It's perfect for what I want to do with it.
I love the kid friendly presentation of the map and it being laminated for easy wipe off. Could use dry erase marker on it to describe a journey etc. It comes rolled up and is a little difficult to straighten, but should do fine for attaching to a wall.
I like the extra info on the four corners. Overall the map is fun to look at. my son wanted it in his room. Didn't want the chance of it being torn so, framed it as soon as it arrived.
I wanted a bright and colorful world map to frame for my daughter's bedroom on a pin board so that she would be able to pin the places that she has been. The map arrived slightly damaged. I called uncommon goods and requested another map. I offered to pay as the map was not severely damaged - just more so than I wanted for in a frame. The customer service rep absolutely refused this and then proceeded to overnight 2 new maps wrapped securely in bubble wrap. Amazing customer service and very cool map. Thanks Uncommon Goods!
Loved the product! Hung it up in my daughters room, but within 5 minutes, my 17 month old ripped it in half. I called customer service, told them what happened and they sent me another for free! Extremely pleased.
We like the map but it would be nice if the index was on the map, not separate.

My 17-month-old was fascinated immediately by this brightly colored map. We put it on the wall in his room, low down so he could point at all of the pictures of things and animals. Within two minutes, he managed to grab the side of the map, pull, and the grommet was torn from the glossy paper. I was disappointed because I thought the map was laminated and couldn't be torn; it is easily damaged. We'd like to figure out a way to display it at a height where he can enjoy it without destroying it, but no bright ideas just yet!
