Liddy Romero

Born and raised in the Rio Grande Valley in Texas, Liddy Romero grew up surrounded by generations of bakers and entrepreneurs, with her family running a bakery for more than 40 years. After a long career as founder and CEO of a worker advocacy nonprofit, Liddy returned to her roots in 2024, reviving the recipes that had always stayed close to her heart. Today, she bakes in small batches from a commercial kitchen in Denver, carrying forward the flavors that were shared for generations at weddings, birthdays, and Sunday gatherings. For Liddy, baking is about memory, connection, and keeping family stories alive through food.
