Alexandra Paliwoda expresses her love of the great outdoors with her hand-forged ironwork. Her business began in the wilds of Wrangell-St. Elias, Alaska, a remote location where Alexandra saw steel as the medium most similar to the rugged, yet generous nature of that truly untamed place. Now at home in Montana, her blacksmith shop is nestled in the mountains and surrounded by aspen and pine trees, wildflowers, and a menagerie of wildlife. Quality of life and quality of goods are paramount to Alexandra. She hopes through her art to share timeless beauty in pieces that she hand forges using traditional and modern techniques.

Beautiful crafted and A GREAT GIFT
This knife is an absolute stunning piece of craftsmanship. Perfect for dicing and I have to say it's very sharp. Gave one to my hubby for a valentine gift and the other to my son as a wedding shower gift . Both were personalized with engraved dates which made them even more special. They were very much appreciated . Very nicely forged, crafted, and engraved along with a stand! I was very impressed. I will emphasize they are very sharp. Be cautious when opening and handling

We bought this item as an engagement gift, and it was a huge success. Our friends loved this item. For it's size, it is fairly heavy which speaks to the quality of the material. Amazing gift for someone who loves cooking
I was a little nervous ordering this because my boyfriend spends a lot of time in the kitchen and is very picky about his knives. Now obviously this isn't some $800 chef's knife, but it is truly an original gift that is admired! The craftsmanship is gorgeous and this knife has a great feel to it. I loved that I could personalize it, that made it even better!

As a collector of knives, antique, Big small, new, novel etc. this, is one of the finest as well as unique knives I have had the pleasure of holding in my hands. I sense a basic earthy "feel" when I hold it. It is a beautiful work of art, as well as a very "sharp" knife.. in more ways than one!

This was an engraved gift for my husband. He loves it, it's beautiful, and sharp! I wonder if he will ever use it or just look at it :) The stand that it comes with is a bit awkward though. Some type of sheath might be better. (I had to change wording to "he will" because "h e ' l l" was profane, LOL!)

Hi!! This knife can come personalized if you choose. You can add up to 7 characters on the first time and up to 8 characters on the 2nd line. We find our customers will add a name and special date or message.

It is all recycled steel. What you are seeing in the middle is a design element the artist used to color treat that section of the knife but the knife is steel in its entirety.
