“On a daily basis, I am tackling the challenge of making tea more accessible and enjoyable to people, and little by little I’m making progress on that goal.”

With Sri Lankan and Chinese roots, Sashee Chandran has always considered tea a pivotal ritual in her life. "I was always drawn to the intimate and communal nature of tea, and its ability to strengthen the bonds of friends and strangers alike," she says. Through her natural inclination to make, share, and talk tea with others, she came across many who found the traditional tea rituals too daunting or time consuming. Her tender drops initiate an all-encompassing experience with the rich taste and tradition of loose tea, and a pinch of raw organic sugar for a no-fuss preparation.

I received a box of tea drops as a birthday gift and I absolutely love it! They taste amazing and I even had enough drops to share! The packaging was interesting, the wooden box containing the tea was nicely soldered. My only complaint is that the tea isn't very sweet, but I have a crazy at tooth so take that with a grain of salt. Overall I think this makes a perfect gift for tea lovers and it shows that you know what the receiver likes.

I'm disappointed in these. I'm a loose tea lover who saw these and thought they'd be great when I wanted something quick and easy. I should have simply ground up my loose leaf tea and drank that. These tea drops are simply finely ground tea and sugar. The sugar dissolves, but the tea does not. It's not a matter of a few specks either. The lighter tea like the peppermint floats and you have to drink (or chew) through about a quarter of an inch of tea grinds to get to the rest of your cup. Then there's another thick layer at the bottom. It's a shame because I enjoyed the taste but not the consistency. Looks great and has cute packaging so many probably think it's a great gift. Unfortunately it doesn't live up to its promise in use.

Not quite what I had hoped

Comments about UncommonGoods Tea Drop Sampler:

I love black tea with honey. I was looking forward to trying these because they already had a little bit of sweetness built in. But they're really just not what I expected. The sweetness is kind of odd and the tea just isn't all that great of tasting tea. I would not buy this again

Perfect!

Comments about UncommonGoods Tea Drop Sampler:

I was skeptical at first. How would the tea dissolve and not leave a murky mess in the cup? I don't take sugar in my tea--how would these lightly sweetened teas taste? How good could the tea flavor be? Arrives in a well-made wooden box with a sliding lid, within which is an array of pre-formed teas in minimal packaging. Each one is delicious. The tea flavor is excellent. The sweetness is very light. The flavor lasts the entire cup, and the finely ground tea dissolves well. No longer a skeptic, I'm ordering more. Great for oneself, great as a gift. These teas are perfect.

Comments about UncommonGoods Tea Drop Sampler:

Love having a cup of tea with my husband. And I'm not a tea drinker - but this is so easy, drop in hot water and it is already lightly sweetened. Don't end up steeping too long or too little. A perfect cup!

Sent these as a bday gift to my Mom who loved them and immediately shared them with her husband and grandkids! She said they're interesting, flavorful and slightly sweetened. Knowing the calorie count and sweetener used would've made them perfect.
