What Makes It Uncommon

Folk art–inspired charm goes from farm to table in Jacek Kalich and Weronika Kalich's delightful duo. They give their hen-and-rooster pair the classic hand-painted character of Polish pottery, with colorful flowers, a bumblebee, and bright red accents highlighted by a lustrous glaze. Together, they bring pottery tradition—and a lot of personality—to the table, ready to rule the roost at every meal.

Set includes one rooster salt shaker and one hen pepper shaker.
Rooster measures 3.5" H, hen measures 2.5" H.
Handmade and hand-painted in Poland.

About the Maker

created by

Jacek Kalich and Weronika Kalich

Husband and wife Jacek and Weronika Kalich hail from Boleslawiec, Poland, the epicenter of Polish pottery making and a candidate for UNESCO World Heritage status. Jacek started the business in his garage with three artists but now employs 30. The process involves a sculptor creating a mold, hand-pouring clay, drying, smoothing, the first firing, cleaning, painting, glazing, a second firing, and packing. Each artisan meticulously handles a specific step before the pottery is shipped to America.
