“I love to envision people sitting on their couch, watching their favorite TV show, eating a jar of [our] peanut butter with a spoon and thinking they are in their happy place.”
Many culinary empires begin with a recipe. Jon Weed’s began with a lesson–his artisanal peanut butter company was born in an effort to teach his children about running a small business. The endeavor, which he jokingly terms “a lemonade stand on steroids,” has turned into an education for the entire family as the brand has expanded to retailers well beyond the weekend farmer’s market the Weeds originally targeted. What sets the product apart: ingredients from popcorn to pretzels to raisins that make the concoctions good enough to eat straight out of the jar.
