High quality nostalgia
When I was a child, it was commonplace for ice cream to be served in tiny plastic batting helmets. This was true at major league ballparks, but also at the occasional baseball-friendly ice cream shop. It was just one of those things you took for granted. Then one day, it stopped happening. Perhaps there was a national shortage on tiny batting helmets, or maybe MLB was charging too much for licensing, I don't know. But at some point the unthinkable happened - ice cream stopped being served in little plastic batting helmets.* You can probably trace just about anything bad that happened between now and then back to this perilous decision, but let's just say the world became a dark place. Fortunately Uncommon Goods has reintroduced these tiny batting helmets from days of yore and they're built to last in more environmentally friendly, non-plastic, reusable ceramic. Life is good again.

I placed my order in 2024.
I placed my order in the fall of 2024 for the Los Angeles Dodgers for my brother as a Christmas gift. Today's date in May 20th 2025, I just received my order that was delivered to my neighbor. When I opened the box the two helmets were that of Cleveland not of Los Angeles.

You can tell that these are very high quality from the moment you see them. The paint job of the team logo makes it look almost real. What's really great about these are the weight. You can really feel that this is quality thick ceramic that won't easily chip or break. Unfortunately, one of them did initially break during shipping (thanks FedEx) but Uncommon Goods sent a replacement set right away. Purchased these as a birthday gift for my brother and am certainly satisfied with my purchase. Would recommend 100%! #sweepstakes

Loved it!
I got these ice cream bowls for my dad for his birthday. We would go to Yankee Stadium when I was a kid, and I'd get ice cream out of plastic helmet bowls, so this reminded me of those. He loved them! He is excited to eat ice cream out of them.
