The hook that hold the orange slides out needs something to keep the end from coming off. Won't buy again

Thank you so much for your review and for sharing your experience with us! We truly appreciate your feedback. We wanted to share a little tip that may help! The fruit is actually meant to be secured by sliding it directly onto the spike/pin located at the bottom of the heart-shaped frame. Simply press your fruit slice firmly onto the pin, and it should hold it snugly in place without sliding off. The small ring on the side of the frame can also help guide and stabilize the fruit as you position it. The cast iron fruit feeding stake is perfect for a friend who has all the "things" for her backyard bird watching, except this! All it needs is a nice piece of fruit, and it will feed her little friends for hours.

I need of a unique anniversary gift? This is it!
My husband and I recently commemorated our 6th wedding anniversary. We follow the traditional pattern of anniversary gifts, but I have to admit that I was 'stuck' when imagining a gift on an iron anniversary for my husband. I kept searching for something that was not only unique, but could be used repeatedly. I was really getting discouraged in my search, as most objects were plain and boring for this type of anniversary: iron rings, iron hooks for your towels or jackets, an iron bowl, etc. Lo and behold, I find this! My husband recently has been making his own birdseed, and enjoys birdwatching in our backyard. It was the perfect gift, and he loves it!
