Rusted Upon Arrival
Totally understand the description mentions it is made of steel and will rust over time, but my item came already completely rusted to (as another reviewer mentioned) the paper and my hand were coated. Love that it's environmentally conscious, but there are definitely ways to do that without sending a rusted item.
Response from merchant
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback, and we’re truly sorry to hear about your experience. We understand your frustration, especially since the item arrived already rusted. While the design is intended to be environmentally conscious, and rusting is something that can naturally occur over time, it should not be present when it’s first received, and that’s certainly not the experience we want for our customers. We typically receive great feedback on this item, and while rust can sometimes build up during storage, we take extra care to inspect products before they’re shipped. We apologize if this wasn’t caught in your case and truly appreciate you bringing it to our attention. Rest assured, we’ll be reaching out directly to resolve this and ensure you receive a product that meets our standards. Thank you for your patience, and we’re here to make this right for you!

Great gift for bird lovers
I got this for my in laws who love to bird watch. They were very excited, especially as the citrus attracts orioles. The note from the artist was a nice touch

Perfect gift for bird lovers
This was a perfect gift for my parents, who want "less stuff," but enjoy feeding the birds in their backyard. It was a unique feeder from their current selection, and they loved it. For those reviews complaining about the rust - they must have missed the description. This is an environmentally conscious gift with a natural finish. The rust is intended and in no way takes away from the beauty of the product.

Perfect gift for bird lovers
My parents like to watch the birds. This was a different way than the seed feeders. The birds are more active as they eat the fruit. #sweepstakes

Easy to use
Easy to hang from standard pole - easy to attach fruit. Great for the backyard bird enthusiasts who has *almost* everything. Don't know if I'll get any bird takers, but it will take a year before I find out when it's best to put out. I like the look of it and the silhouettes are so realistic I keep thinking there's birds on it :-) (The buyers who found it unattractive didnt read the description.)

It's an attractive [not obnoxious] gift selection -
Hang in nearby tree to feed & observe birds......

Is the fruit easily eaten by squirrels?
Verified reply from Allison
It would depend on the squirrel! The shape of the feeder is round, but a squirrel may still find a way to balance itself on the metal. While their natural diet is primarily nuts and seeds, they will also eat fruits and vegetables they find in their environment.

Are the wooden birds that are displayed included in the price listed?
Verified reply from Allison
Yes! The birds are steel and are welded to the steel feeder.
