The magnet on this little gem is as strong as can be and holds the reader's place with ease. No slippage, stays put! I have given many of these as gifts and everyone LOVES them! You can mail them in the card for the appropriate occassion.

Immediately bought a second set as a gift
These magnets are so cute, stay stuck on the fridge really well even when layering them, and have a great variety of pieces. Making little creatures when you have a spare minute is really fun - so much so that I just had to get a second set for a friend's birthday!

Bought this for a $20 limit White Elephant gift
I was buying multiple gifts because I was also buying on behalf of some participants who couldn't do the shopping themselves. Uncommon Goods made it so easy to find good fun stuff that fit my price range (and sales, sales also help!). The recipient said they were looking forward to playing this game on their fridge, and when next I come over to visit I'll happily play it with them, too.

This is great!
I ordered two as I had two different pieces of art my friend made. They work perfectly and hold onto the thick watercolor paper nicely! There are four pairs of magnets per rod-4 along the top 4 along the bottom of the paper. They are very strong magnets and they sort of jump if you're trying to sandwich the paper slowly, but you can gently slide it into the right placement. With both the products, the white chord that came with it had a couple small black marks but it doesn't bother me so I haven't tried removing them, but I doubt it would be difficult. the light wood color is nice and neutral. I have hung each of them on a small command hook backed with velcro (without using the included screws) and I haven't had issues with them falling off the wall since I hung them up a month ago.
