Green for Go
Diane DiRaimo's unique earrings are sure to stop traffic. After all, they did it for years in former lives. Their red, yellow, and blue-green "gems" are made from authentic New York City glass traffic light lenses, scrapped when plastic ones replaced them in the 1960s. Diane breaks them into shards, polishes them in a rock tumbler, and crafts them into vividly colored, slightly translucent earrings. The resulting pieces are fresh and original, yet mysteriously familiar in that "Where have I seen this before?" way. Compatible with lots of different looks and styles, they're also great conversation starters—not, despite their former job, stoppers. Handmade in New York City.
