Not worth it
I bought this thinking "great no garlic hands anymore" but was very disappointed. The perforations do not cut the garlic all the way through and then garlic got stuck in the holes when I tried to take the remainder of the clove off the back. Fortunately the dishwasher was more successful than I was. I'll give it another try some time, but have gone back to using a paring knife.

If you decide to give it another chance before retiring it to decorative duty, a few simple techniques may help: lightly crush the garlic clove first, use firm pressure while rocking the press from one side to the other, and scrape the minced garlic from the top of the press with the back of a knife or a silicone spatula. SO SO cute and very handy!!
Well, I bought it because it was cute, but it has really delivered! Surprisingly sturdy and makes a once annoying task very, very easy. A useful gadget thats easy to store, easy to clean.

unique...must push both sides down firmly
Tired of cleaning a screw-type garlic press, I tried a new gadget requiring little storage space. My first use with many garlic cloves revealed I needed to press quite firmly on both sides as I 'rocked' the garlic, or the garlic shot out to the side. I look forward to refining my technique yet have some hesitation prior to highly recommending.
