Seaside living serves as a major inspiration for Kelley Angulo. Born in Maine, Kelley has lived in the coastal state her entire life. With an MBA in marketing, she met her husband and creative partner in 2008, but it wasn't until the 2020 pandemic that the couple started woodworking. Their first pieces captured the blissful aura of their oceanside hometown, and now their work includes any location a customer requests. Kelley describes: "Our maps allow them to take home a piece of the area they love."

Not as expected
Craftsmanship is excellent however the map used for the city of Chapel Hill NC was extremely disappointing. It is very sparse and absolutely zero major landmarks are on the map. How do you depict Chapel Hill without the University of North Carolina or Franklin Street ANYWHERE on the map? This was a gift for a recent graduate of UNC who is moving across the country so I had to apologize that the University is not even on the map and even worse the word Duke is on the map!!! That is a no no for anyone who loves Chapel Hill!

These designs are created using authentic topographic maps, so major landmarks and streets are not always shown or labeled. We understand how disappointing it must have been not see UNC or Franklin Street represented. Had we known the University of North Carolina or Franklin Street were important to include, we would have been more than happy to reach out to the artist to select a different map source or customize the design to ensure those details were represented. This was a big hit!
This was a surprise 2-year anniversary gift for my daughter and son-in-law, and it was a big hit! It arrived earlier than expected and was in perfect condition. They both love it so much and will proudly display it on their mantle with a companion customized piece I also purchased from your site. She excitedly sent me a picture as I was curious to see the finished product. It's beautiful!

A custom wooden heart mapping your special place
I absolutely love this product! The map pinpointed the most meaningful areas in my life—my park, golf course, high school, and the bay—making it incredibly personal and special. The fact that it's shaped like a heart adds an even deeper connection, reminding me that love and belonging always lead back to where my heart truly resides. Personalized unique and beautiful artwork for anyone.
Wonderful one of a kind personal gift! I was so excited to get this for our home. It is the absolute perfect housewarming or wedding gift! The colors are so vibrant and contrast beautifully with the background and wood frame. The craftsmanship is impeccable. I love that no one else has this and it is a definite conversation starter when friends come over. Shocked how inexpensive it was for such a high quality item. We are delighted. In the words of my little girl, " Wow! This is so beautiful."

I thought this was a GREAT idea for a gift. HOWEVER, the first one I received was simply incorrect, as the neighboring town to the east of us was identified as to the west of our town! The replacement was somewhat better, as the towns were now properly identified, BUT one would think that our home town would be centered, in the frame, which is was not.

This item is made using old-fashioned topography maps and because of this, some details may be slightly inaccurate. We love the vintage charm of these maps, but due to the factual error in your original map we are happy that the artist created a replacement for you. The artist may not always place the requested town in the center in order to include other topographical or aesthetic details that make the piece one of a kind.
