Though she comes from a long line of artisans, self-taught silversmith Susan Rodgers’ road to a creative career took a few detours—like a life-threatening car accident and a 20-year corporate career. Once she realized that she “needed to pursue an artistic life,” Susan worked in several mediums before discovering The One: jewelry-making. Summers spent on Fire Island with her family fostered a love of nature that inspire the designs she creates on the North Shore of Long Island.

Absolutely beautiful

I usually wait until things go on sale, especially more expensive items (this necklace qualifies as expensive for me). But this was just so lovely I decided to splurge and I'm so glad I did. The silver is sparkling and the dragonfly is delicate and sweet. The photos online don't do it justice; it's definitely more beautiful in person.
