At first glance, it looks like a beautiful shell you found on the beach. But when you pop your phone into this oceanic artwork, you can listen to music, podcasts, and phone calls at a volume that’s naturally boosted and improved by the shell’s shape.

  • Lucy hand-sculpts each piece in clay, fires it in her kiln, and glazes it by hand using a combination of pink ceramic glazes. Just like a real seashell, no two are exactly alike.

A lifelong artist, Lucy Schaeffer's work has focused on commercial photography, shooting images and video for well-known brands. She fell in love with pottery after her first class in 2018, and it's become a second career. Lucy crafts ceramics in the small garage studio at her home in upstate New York, where she lives with her husband and two kids. "I especially love making functional ware," she says. "Unique pieces that bring beauty and art to someone's home and can be used every day."

Perfect house gift

This amplifier was better than I expected. It's smooth and heavy, very satisfying to hold! It's totally adorable even if you don't have a beach house. I love mine! I found it because I've been buying the artist's other items, which make great gifts. (I bought this for myself.)

Beautiful and well made

I bought this handmade conch shell phone amplifier for my beach house. It came really well packed which I was worried about bc it's ceramic. It's bigger and heftier than I thought. It sits really well on a side table or even outdoors on a ledge. Because of the weight, I'm not worried about it getting knocked over. It really compliments and beach themed decor. The glaze finish is beautiful and very shell realistic with a pearly finish. The sound is def amplified through the shell. I bought one for myself and one for a friend and it makes a great gift. I'm very happy with my purchase.
