North Carolina

Born in England to American parents, Lara Glass grew up in Ohio before landing in Asheville, North Carolina. An earring-making class during a vacation turned an activity with her two daughters into a business. “We created so many pieces,” Lara explains. “We started selling our designs at local craft fairs.” Today, the girls have grown and moved on from jewelry, but Lara continues to draw inspiration for her nature-themed creations from the Blue Ridge Mountains and the beauty of her surroundings.
