Sands Of Time

Place this magical beauty on a bookshelf, desk, mantel, or coffee table, rotate the glass ring, and watch as delicate drifts of light, dark, and glittery golden sand shift into deserts, mountains, clouds, rain, oceans and smoke, all ebbing and flowing into one another.

UncommonGoods placed our first order of Klaus Bosch’s sand art on January 10, 2008, and it's been beloved by our customers ever since. Here’s what some of them have said about it:
“A beautiful piece of art that morphs every time you flip it over. The sand flows beautifully and makes a different design every time it falls.”
“It's so easy to get lost in the ever-changing artistic formations of the Deep Sea Sand Art; as a brief escape from the day's turmoil or a means of peaceful reflection.” “My parents are so thrilled by it that they send me pictures every day to show me how it looks.”
“I would recommend this as a great gift for someone that has everything. I’m thinking of purchasing another one for myself.”
“This is the coolest most mesmerizing desk top gift ever.”

I live in Canada and wanted to send a gift to a male friend in San Francisco, CA. He's one of those "has-it-all" people so it was a real challenge finding something for him.

I had it delivered to his office and the response from him and everyone at the office was overwhelming! Someone from the office would send me a picture everyday of the unique designs they made with the sand. Everyone loved it!

It's a very different gift and is very tasteful. I myself haven't seen it, but it looks like it's well-made and is definitely quality value for the price. It has become my new "go-to" gift for anyone who is hard to shop for!

Does not work as advertised

The seam on the frame is mismatched. Product still doesn't work as advertised. It only makes dunes - not landscapes.

Comments about UncommonGoods Deep Sea Sand Art:

I bought one last year as a gift for a friend's office and he is obsessed with it. Need I say more? I bought a second one last month for a friend who is ill and anxious. She says this calms her when she returns home from chemotherapy.

I bought this as a Xmas gift for my boyfriends brother and wife because I wanted something unique plus I was intrigued. I opened it up after watching videos on how to adjust the air to ensure the proper sand flow. It is awesome! Well worth the money and I am going to buy one for myself now

Comments about UncommonGoods Deep Sea Sand Art:

My daughter has this positioned on her dressing table and I find her twirling it and gazing at the patterns many times a day. She loves it. I see it's value also as a destressing tool.

On the downside - it's a bit too big. Had it been a third or even half its present size, it would have fit neatly on a desk top or a small side table and also been easier to handle. It's current scale makes it impressive but less convenient in small apartments.

Comments about UncommonGoods Deep Sea Sand Art:

I purchased this as a Christmas gift for my Son who lives in another state, so I wanted to see it prior to shipping. It is nicely made and will fit just about anywhere. It almost did't get put back in the box, because I could not keep my hands off of it for wanting to see what the next sand picture would look like. Since I've wrapped it up again for shipping, I have to say: " I miss it!"

Comments about UncommonGoods Deep Sea Sand Art:

Such a beautiful reminder of the good memories made at the seaside cottage where my sisters and friends gathered this year. Our hosts loved this gift! Such a beautiful reminder. They can't seem to get enough of the endless shapes and patters and have found it to be very "tranquilo". Thank you!
