Full of Chemicals
I bought these because they seemed like a cute idea, but in reality the cookies smelled very synthetic, probably from the chemicals it took to make them black. I ate only one because it didn't taste quite right and because it dyed my teeth black. The fortunes themselves were cute, but the fact that I didn't want to eat the cookies does defeat the purpose of a fortune cookie.
Response from merchant
One of the misfortunes of the Misfortune Cookies is that they temporarily turn your teeth black! The ingredients are wheat flour, sugar, glucose syrup, rapeseed oil, colors FD&C Red #40, Blue #1, Yellow #6, Yellow #5, vanilla flavor, sodium bicarbonate. We've emailed you with details how to take advantage of our Forever Return Policy!

Fun Little Bonus
I wasn't sure what I was going to do with these when I bought them, but I knew I needed them! Turns out, they were the perfect ending to my mom's 69th Birthday Party! From 8 years old - 70 years old we ALL had a great laugh at the fortunes, and no one expected the surprise that followed! The kids collected all of the leftover shell pieces to take home and trick friends at school. It was the perfect ending to a great celebration!

Bought these as an April Fool's day gift
I purchased these as an April Fool's day gift for my employees last year. This is an unofficial holiday for my team. I was concerned they would be offensive and NSFW. They are slightly condescending but not offensive to anyone with a sense of humor. My reorder just arrived today!

This was great for my sassy sister in law she loved it so much!!! Wish I would've gotten the bigger pack! The misfortunes are hilarious and the kids loved their mouths turning black 😂 #sweepstakes
