What Makes It Uncommon

Long before cameras could capture a face, people created images of their loved ones in silhouette form—simple profiles that somehow held an entire person within a single shape. That cherished tradition lives on in Beth Philbin handmade charms. Beth takes a photo and transforms it into a finely engraved silhouette, preserving the smallest details in sterling silver. The result feels both nostalgic and deeply personal, like a modern heirloom in the making.

  • Each profile is carefully refined into a clean outline before being engraved for lasting detail and contrast.
  • Choose 1–3 charms, each representing a different silhouette. (necklaces with multiple charms feature small silver bead spacers to keep each piece beautifully separated.
  • Oxidized and hand polished to enhance depth and highlight fine details.
  • Charms measure approximately 5/8" and hang from a 16" sterling silver box chain.
  • Comes packaged in a gift-ready box.
  • Handmade in California.

After leaving a high-tech job in California’s Bay Area to start her own web design company, Beth Philbin decided to build a website for another of her side hustles—creating family-themed jewelry. Largely self-taught, Beth’s pieces proved to be a hit and she shifted to jewelry full-time. “I love creating pieces that represent the unique bonds between parents and children, siblings, spouses, and friends,” Beth says.

This is a made-to-order item that ships directly from the maker. If you order today your item will ship no later than 4/20/2026.

Items that are made to order or oversized can't be sent in a Gift Bag. Instead, you can include your Gift Message on the shipment's packing slip.  At this time, this item cannot be shipped to APO/FPO addresses, P.O.
