Cute idea but poor quality

I loved the idea of trying different coffees from around the world, but if you are picky about coffee or consider yourself an aficionado, you will be disappointed. It tastes like prepackaged, ground freeze-dried coffee. I imagine so it will last longer, but the fresh ground, locally roasted taste that makes good coffee GOOD, not here. Roasted and ground 8 months before purchase...nope. Maybe if you are buying for a coffee newbie? But even then...why wouldn't you buy the local good stuff?
