What Makes It Uncommon

From soda jerks* serving chocolate malteds to frappés garnished with cookies and brownies, milkshakes have come a long way since they rose to popularity in the 1920s. Indulge in the creamy, frothy frozen treat at home in about a minute with a kit that includes pretty much everything (yup, even old-timey glasses)—just add ice and your preferred milk.

  • Every kit includes one chocolate and one vanilla mix, plus two packets of crumb toppings, two 12-oz. acrylic glasses, two heart-shaped straws, and a recipe card.
  • To make, add 1 cup of ice, 1 cup of your preferred milk, and one packet of milkshake mix to a blender. Blend for about a minute, then add a packet of crumb topping and optional (but highly recommended) whipped cream (not included).
  • Made in New York.


*Uncommon Knowledge: Skilled at creating delicious, visually appealing drinks while entertaining customers (kind of like modern mixologists), soda jerks got their name due to the “jerking” motion they’d make while pulling the soda fountain handles to dispense drinks and syrup.
