What Makes It Uncommon

With each pass of the file and each round of sanding, the alabaster begins to look a little more like something only its maker could have imagined. Oliver Harwood's jewelry kit starts with a hand-cut heart or shell, then leaves the finishing touches to the hands that will wear it. As the soft stone is shaped, waxed, and buffed, its natural grain and translucent glow emerge, turning an afternoon of making into a pendant with a very personal history.

Includes a hand-cut alabaster starter shape, diamond file, two grades of sandpaper, polishing wax, buffing cloth, an 18" silver-plated chain, and instructions.
Keep the stone and tools wet while filing and sanding, then wax, buff, and thread the finished pendant onto the chain.
Choose Heart or Shell; each starter stone measures approximately 1" x 1" x 0.25".
Natural color and grain vary, making each finished pendant unique.
Store dry and clean with a soft dry or slightly damp cloth; avoid harsh chemicals and prolonged water exposure.
Made in Canada; alabaster sourced from Spain.
