LouAnn Brandjes grew up in Enumclaw, Washington, where life was rooted in simplicity, community, and making things from scratch. After years running businesses that left little time for creativity, she turned to sourdough to reconnect with herself and others. From her licensed kitchen, LouAnn handcrafts each starter using organic flour, mineral-rich water, and a freeze-drying method that preserves wild yeast. Inspired by family, friends, and the magic of slowing down, she believes baking is a rhythm, a way to be present, and a link to the past. Her starters are easy to use, full of history, and help others discover the simple joy of baking.
