What Makes It Uncommon

Go ahead and tell people that this delightful creamer has been in your family for generations—it certainly looks like a much-loved heirloom. Jacek Kalich and Weronika Kalich use time-honored pottery techniques and processes to craft each bovine cutie, first molding and firing the clay, then hand-painting the colorful floral details with brushes and hand-cut sponges. Each piece takes at least 12 days to create and will add a dash of old-world charm to your morning coffee or afternoon tea.

Crafted from stoneware that’s double-fired for strength, then decorated with a traditional design of red, blue, and yellow flowers.

Husband and wife Jacek and Weronika Kalich hail from Boleslawiec, Poland, the epicenter of Polish pottery making and a candidate for UNESCO World Heritage status. Jacek started the business in his garage with three artists but now employs 30. The process involves a sculptor creating a mold, hand-pouring clay, drying, smoothing, the first firing, cleaning, painting, glazing, a second firing, and packing. Each artisan meticulously handles a specific step before the pottery is shipped to America.

The most special gift!!!!

This is the most beautiful hand crafted gift I have ever bought! The detail on the sweet little cow is so so precious and intricate- the bell on his neck I just screamed I love it so much! It arrived boxed and wrapped up with such care! I'm giving this to my sister as a wedding gift and I could not be more excited for her to open it! Dziękuję!!!!!!
