A hair raising experience!
You definitely need a lot of hair to use this clip because it is very large. I purchased as a gift, and although the quality is good, because of its size , I'm not sure if it will be used. If the artist could " edit" the book size, I'm sure they would have a " best seller "!

Never Judge a Book by it's Clip
This item was more beautiful than I could have imagined. I bought it for my best friend this past Christmas. She's an avid reader and bibliophile. When I saw this clip, I knew instantly that this was made for her, with its beautiful colors and sturdy clip, I knew it would hold all of her long beautiful hair. The price was well worth the quality of this beautiful clip. I'm thinking of buying one for myself!!

I got this for my mom's birthday, and it looks just like the picture. She loved it! The clip is made of high quality plastic, and it looks great!

Pretty but requires ultra thick hair
As a librarian with shoulder length hair, I was easily won over by the shape of this clip. Unfortunately, when it arrived I realized that the height of the clip requires that I pile my not ultra thick hair atop my head (Gibson Girl style) and that's the only way I can wear it without it slowly slipping out because the clip is just too heavy to wear at the back of my head, as shown in the picture. So, consider your hair (or that of whoever you may be gifting it to) before purchase and whether it will work or not. I will probably just wear this on rare occasions, not as an everyday summer-in-the-city accessory.
