Gift gone wrong! Do not dust not even with a feather. Hands of clock disengage.

first of all, I loved all of the other items I ordered and received immediately-very quick shipping! Impressed with that too. BUT... I am extremely disappoionted that I paid $24.00 for a flimsy cut-out and put-together cardboard clock! (Above the actual item it inicates made of "plastic, metal" -nope, not so.)A little bit of dampness will kill this clock I am certain! I would like to get a refund but do not want to pay the shipping (goes by density, ie weight v.s. cube and this one will be too much for me to waste more money to ship back.
I get compliments on this clock all the time. It really stands out even in an elementary school library. The hands were bent when we first got it, but we were able to bend them the opposite way allowing it to actually keep time with the rotation.
Like many of the reviews below (that I have only now read AFTER receiving the product--mea culpa), this product is terribly flimsy. The second hand keeps falling down and has not worked since it arrived.
Thing came all wrinkled and dented. Clock hands are flimsy and it basically hung loose in the cardboard.
The clock was well-packaged and looked nice upon arrival. However, I was disappointed with the actual quality of this item. The hands of the clock were rolling around in the bottom of the box instead of being attached. There is quite an indentation in the book cover where the clock is situated, and the books are made of a cardboard type material and is pretty lightweight. I was expecting something more durable for the price that I paid, which I thought was reasonable until I opened it. This is a gift, and I do think I will still give it, but since the quality is not what I was expecting I feel the need to supplement it with something else to make up for it. Seems cheap to give as a single present.

use as decoration in a library, it is decorative, but I am disappointed in the quality, the second had keeps falling off
Incredibly, cheaply made, but I guess it looks nice once mounted.
It's cute and colorful. I saw it it the September issue of Family Circle and thought it was ceramic. That was a disappointment, but it has grown on me. It is booklike in the midst of other books in my bookcase and that is fun. Pretty flimsy construction though.
