Whether you choose a sweet chickadee or a wise old owl, these decorative self-waterers are designed to provide about 2 ounces of water in a slow drip. That’s enough to keep succulents smiling, sensitive leaves dry, and orchids from being overwatered. Handmade, so no two are alike, each avian agriculturalist has a unique marble pattern and color to add a playful accent to any of your small potted beauties. Handmade in Arequipa, Peru.

Bernardino Arce was born into a family of ceramists in Pucara, Puno, Peru. He has exhibited his art in Colombia, Chile, Costa Rica, and more. In 2021, in recognition of his efforts in preserving a Peruvian art form for future generations, he was named an “Amauta,” a name given to great teachers in Incan times. Bernardino joins the ranks of just 36 other Peruvian craft artists who have ever been awarded this distinguished title. Today he lives in Arequipa, Peru, and shares his studio with his son.

Such a cute owl!

I haven't had this long but so far it's working just right and since I'm using it in for the inherited Christmas cactus from my Mother and it's an owl…my mother's favorite bird…it's just working out perfectly! He's such a cute little owl peaking out of the plant! ❤️
