What Makes It Uncommon

A favorite stretch of coastline can now stay with you long after you've left the shore. Rosa Murillo turns sand gathered from North and South Carolina beaches into a miniature seascape, layering it with crystalline blue resin that echoes the colors and contours of the ocean. Framed in sterling silver, each piece carries a little piece of the shore wherever it goes.

Care

This piece is handcrafted in sterling silver and, like all silver jewelry, can naturally tarnish over time. To maintain its shine, gently polish with a silver polishing cloth as needed. To preserve the integrity of the piece and its natural materials, avoid submerging the necklace in water, including pools, hot tubs, or the ocean. Prolonged exposure to moisture, humidity, direct sunlight, lotions, perfumes, and chemicals may accelerate tarnishing and wear. The sand and textured surface details are delicate by nature and may experience erosion or surface wear in time and if not handled with care. When not in use, store the necklace in a sealed plastic bag or airtight container in a cool, dry place to help minimize oxidation and protect the finish. Handle gently and avoid sleeping, showering, or exercising while wearing the piece to extend its longevity.
