Works amazing

I bought this for a family member who loves baked apples. They use it constantly and love it. Bigger apples actually work better to fit over the center piece. But 3 minutes is really about what it takes and you can adjust the filling to whatever works for you.

Niche But Nice

I bought this for myself. I love apple pie but not the calories involved so this is a nice compromise. I have found it works a lot better if I peel the apple first. I get smaller apples of the sweetest variety I can find and add just a smidge of brown sugar and cinnamon. It's nice sweet something for those night I am craving something delectable.

What is the maximum recommended oven temperature? Does it need to go into a cold oven?

Hello! It is always best if you place stoneware in a cold oven and heat it up gradually. If you’re going warmer than 350, give it a few minutes at 350 and then move it up gradually. The key is not to shock the piece. I would recommend you never go fridge or freezer into the oven as that is too quick of a temperature change. Regarding maximum temperature, as long as a piece is gradually brought up to temperature, there isn’t much risk of damaging it in a conventional oven. We hope this is helpful!
