What Makes It Uncommon

Life beneath the waves moves in beautiful balance, with every color, shape, and living thing connected to the next. Emilie Shapiro captures that shared harmony in glowing arrangements of ocean-toned gemstones, setting each one in brass so the pieces feel organic, sculptural, and alive with coastal wonder.

Handmade collection available as a Necklace, Earrings, or Cuff.
Designs are inspired by ocean ecosystems and the interdependence of marine flora and fauna.
Earrings and Necklace feature kyanite, aquamarine, ruby, and grossular garnet embedded in brass.
Cuff features kyanite, aquamarine, tanzanite, ruby, labradorite, emerald, rose quartz, and grossular garnet embedded in brass.
Pendant measures 1"L x 1"W on Emilie's signature brass chain (16"/18") with her unique handmade clasp.
Earrings measure 1"L x 1"W with gold-filled ear wires.
Cuff measures 1.5"L x 2.5" dia. with a 1" opening (the cuff is slightly bendable to allow for moderate fit adjustment).
All metal is nickel free.
Handmade in New York.

“A goal is just a dream with a deadline.”

There was never a moment that Emilie Shapiro didn't consider herself an artist. "Before I could speak," she says, "I expressed myself through what I made with my hands." While getting her degree in metalsmithing at Syracuse University, she spent a summer at Alchimia Contemporary Jewelry School in Florence, Italy. "I have a massive stone collection that I started when I was two," and to spark inspiration, she says, "I usually pull out my drawers of gems and minerals and something catches my eye."

Items that are made to order or oversized can't be sent in a Gift Bag. Instead, you can include your Gift Message on the shipment's packing slip.
