Wasn't as great as I was expecting
Was pretty disappointed in this. Is a gift for my father in law but there really isn't as many articles as I was expecting, no directory or index either. The biggest most glaring issue to me right away was the fact it's missing the 2012/2013 years. It jumps from 2011 to 2014 and misses the undefeated season when they went to the National Championship. Seems like a HUGE chunk of history missing from the Notre Dame version.

Thank you for sharing. We hear great feedback about this item. I’m sorry to hear that the Personalized College Football History Book did not meet your expectations, especially since this was meant to be a gift for your father in law. This book is created using authentic newspaper archives and reflects a team’s official record. For Notre Dame, the 2012 and 2013 seasons, including the undefeated 2012 regular season and National Championship appearance, were later vacated due to NCAA academic misconduct sanctions. Because those wins were removed from the official record, coverage from those years may be omitted or altered in the book. In some cases, content can also be affected by limitations in what was available in the newspaper archives at the time. We understand how disappointing it can be when a significant period of history feels missing, and we appreciate you taking the time to share your experience. Your feedback will be shared with our team as we continue to review how this information is communicated.

Would not purchase again
Very disappointed in quality of newspaper articles in book. Some are blurry and all are hard to read because of small print. Not what I expected for the price at all.

Print quality in black and white is really poor
The article selection is really cool, and the idea is great. However, the print quality is mostly really bad. It's understandable that the print quality is hit or miss for the older articles, but it's bad for anything black and white even for articles as recent as 2016 (see photos). Those might be even worse than the pages from the 30s even. The photos are almost completely blacked out, and the text is difficult to read (either too light so letters are missing or the ink is running letters together). The quality for the color articles after 2016 is perfect. The book was also shipped with one side of the package completely open, so the top of the book was dented. For the price, I really expected better. It was a gift, and I'm not even sure I'll give it.
Response from merchant
Thank you for your review. These books are created using archived newspaper pages, and some years in the archives are only available as black-and-white scans. When that’s the case, the reprinted version will also appear in black and white, even if other years in the book are in color. The book reproduces the archived version, so the print reflects whatever format the archive provides. Some years in the newspaper archives were preserved through older scanning methods (including microfilm). We're sorry that this arrived damaged, we'd like to offer a replacement. We're reaching out directly to resolve this.
