I'm glad I bought it, but the spreader is not useful really
I love having the choice of using 2 sticks of US sized butter or using European sized butter. I also love that it is somewhat less messy than most other butter dishes, though because of the design of the spreader, it can still get a bit messy. The lid does help hide any mess. The spreader is so small and kind of useless because it's so tiny it can get overwhelmed with butter and I always have clean it off or it leaves butter all over the slot it's supposed to lie in. So now I rest a butter knife there instead.
