Unique, and jaw dropping gift
I was looking for the gift for that someone we all know - they have everything, or could buy themselves anything, so what would be a stand-out gift? This was it! The person was turning 82, so it was especially poignant and interesting from their perspective to be able to look back at world events.

A Perfect Gift!
This gift was absolutely the perfect gift for my friend. He is someone who says he doesn't like to get gifts but after receiving this gift he has repeatedly told me that it is the very best gift and his favorite gift that he has ever received. He reads the NY Times Daily, loves history, and is delighted that this book was specially made for him.

The Perfect Gift for somebody who's hard to buy for
I bought this for my boss who is very hard to buy for. She tells people, even family members, not to spend their money on gifts because she has very eclectic taste, but flowers are always welcome. After working with her for a year, I knew this would be the perfect gift. I was right - she was delighted! Her family was amazed. The quality of the binding is excellent, and it's extra special with her name and birthday embossed on the cover. The pages are beautifully done and quality paper is used. My boss is still talking about it and showing people more than two weeks after her birthday. Thanks for helping me hit a home run! (PS: A magnifying glass will be necessary for the recipient.)

Second time around just as impressive ! a+
This is my second time purchasing the New York Times Birthday Book from Uncommon Goods as a gift, and it's just as impressive as the first. The quality of the printing and binding is excellent, and the collection of front pages makes for such a meaningful, personalized keepsake. It's always a hit — both recipients have loved flipping through the headlines from every birthday of their lives. Uncommon Goods makes the ordering process easy, and shipping was fast and reliable. A truly thoughtful and unique gift that never disappoints!

Original and meaningful
I bought this for a family member who I am told always says I do not need/want anything (except maybe hockey tickets). Knowing he is a reader and loves history, this NYT premium custom birthday book with magnifying glass, was the perfect gift. He truly was touched by it and in his own words, it is original and meaningful.

I will be getting this for EVERYONE
The item exceeded my expectations. I got this for my dad's 60th birthday and he LOVED it. Said it was the best gift he ever got. I can't wait to get this for my mom's 60th next year and anyone else who has a special occasion. #sweepstakes

Hello- what if the birthday is a holiday or near a holiday (for example Christmas Eve), did the NYT print papers each year on the day? If not, do you use the next day? Is there a way to determine that before I order? Thank you!
Verified reply from Michelle
Hi! Historically, the New York Times has been printed on most holidays, if there is no paper on the date requested in any give year for any reason that day/year would be just be omitted, they would not select an alternative day.

If I want the book to contain the current year's front page, how long after the date should I order it? Can I order it next day?
Verified reply from Sofia
Hello! The front page for today is added in early morning (or on Mondays for weekend pages). If you want today's date included in your book, you can order it that day or later. Thanks for posting!

If the recipient's birthday is an anniversary or yearly occurrence of an event (I.e. 9/11) would all the headlines be the same?
Verified reply from Michelle
Hi! The headlines would reflect the news of that day, so yes if there was a significant event that is featured annually then the headlines would feature it.

I was hoping to get a book for my grandparents to share. Is it possible to include both of their birth dates? Thanks!
Verified reply from SiRandal
Hi! Great idea. However, the New York Times Custom Birthday Book is a made-to-order item that can only be ordered with one person's info (including his/her first and last name and birth date) for each book.
