My daughter who was 11 wanted to gift her 8 year old friend something fun for Christmas. It was a hit. The girls worked on it together and both really enjoyed it.

Wonderful for elementary age kids
The *Easter bunny* got this for my 8 year old daughter and she literally worked on coloring and assembly for hours without begging for screen time! The coloring did get tedious but it looks wonderful even without color. Tonight as I put her to bed she was making plans to finish the furniture on the second floor after she is done with her homework tomorrow.

Fun, detailed, and surprisingly intuitive.
We were delighted by how sophisticated this little dollhouse set was. Each piece is designed so that it is very easy to put the furniture together without instructions. Plus you can recycle it when the interest has worn off!

can it be taken apart and put back together? I was thinking it might be a good dollhouse for traveling?

There is no glue involved so it can be disassembled and reassembled. The fsc certified cardboard pieces are sturdy, however, the smaller pieces that lock into a larger piece may become damaged from repeated disassembly.
