What Makes It Uncommon

Quick—picture a mushroom. Bet the first thing that came to mind was a funky fungus with a polka-dot cap. That’s amanita muscaria, a.k.a., the shroomiest of shrooms, and it's the inspiration for these jaunty earrings that have a glow-in-the-dark surprise.

  • Lucy Golden crafts her magical mushrooms from jeweler’s brass and sterling silver, then paints each one by hand and seals it with durable resin.
  • The stems dangle underneath the caps and put on a playful wiggly display every time you move.
  • Best part: The white dots glow naturally in the dark when you “charge” the earrings by exposing them to any bright light—even your phone’s flashlight—for about three minutes.
  • Handmade in New Hampshire.
