What Makes It Uncommon

Santa’s workshop isn’t all toy-making and hot chocolate breaks—this year, it’s also the setting for a thrilling holiday adventure. Hidden inside this interactive ornament is a QR code that unlocks a 25-day story straight from the North Pole. Each day, you’ll reveal a new snippet of Doug the Elf’s race to win the first-ever ornament contest and earn a seat beside Santa on the big Christmas Eve ride. But when trouble strikes and the fate of Christmas hangs in the balance, Doug and his fellow North Polers will have to band together to save the day.

Along with the story, the QR scan reveals daily mini-activities that invite kids to join the fun and make this the sweetest countdown around. Spin the tab each day, scan the code to unlock a new part of the tale, and savor every magical moment as you work your way to the big day.

Ornament story was a great way to read with my daughter

I thought this was a unique gift and perfect for Uncommon Goods. The idea of having a small part of a story every day leading up to Christmas was fun for me and my daughter. We looked forward to it each day. Interactive and a cute story made for a great gift. I think the ornament could have been a bit nicer for the cost. Or maybe it could have been a bit cheaper but I do think it was worth it in the end. I hope they do this again next year where you can purchase access to another story???

Maybe good for older children

Wasn't very good for my 3yo. Might be nice to have a printed pamphlet as well because screens at bedtime were an issue and because I was in a different time zone it kept putting the wrong day and I'd get confused. I wrote to support about it and they said it should be based off of my local time zone on my phone but that was not my experience. That said I think this product has potential in the long run.

Fun Advent Activity

This was a lot of fun for my niece and nephew (6 and 8). They loved being able to scan the ornament (they're limited on devices, so this was a treat), and they really enjoyed the story. The added extra activities were fun, too!

Perfect advent gift

An ornament to help an almost two year old understand how long before Christmas! My granddaughter loved it more than the candy advent calendar because she was allowed to touch only this ornament on the tree.

The description say each day unlocks an activity to do with kids. what age range are the activities aimed at for kids? Thanks! I dont want to get this for a 5 year old if the activities are aimed for kids who are 8 years old. This is a super cool idea and i'd love to get it if its for the right age range?
