This was a fun little kit that allowed us to learn about making truffles and had a pile of treats at the end. The only problem I had was there was so many I *had* to bring them to work to share...a good problem to have!
Simple recipes, easy to follow & had good suggestions for altering. I made chocolate with toasted coconut, raspberry and peppermint. All were well received as gifts to others and delicious. Neat little kit too, several things left over with some more base chocolate.

For holiday activities that couples could share
Delicious, fun, experience-oriented gift (but easy). Buy a few and do them with the whole family!
Going to use in a Christmas Yankee Swap which includes adults and kids.
Gift for someone who likes truffles
St Paul MN
Bought this for a couple who like to do things together. They thought it was a good gift.
This is a good idea but proved too difficult. My wife is great at baking cookies, brownies, etc and love truffles, but this ended up being harder to pull off than a souffle. Rather than a fun activity with a reward at the end, it ended up being a frustrating affair that didn't turn out.

The chocolate truffles were pretty good once made. The instructions weren't perfectly clear. We needed to buy additional dark chocolate because the chocolate wasn't hardening in the freezer. I expected the cocoa powder and sea salt to be garnishes but the instructions said to roll the ganache in them. It made for some very salty truffles.
