Daytime is for the ordinary activities of life, the ones you have to do. But nighttime is what you make it, and when the sun sets, the shimmering moon presides. Emilie Shapiro's rainbow moonstone ring evokes this lunar mood. The vintage-inspired, 24-facet rose cut enhances the natural inner glow of the stone. Resembling a midnight sky surrounding a full moon, a halo of sapphires is cast in place with an ancient Egyptian technique that embeds them in molten, 14-karat recycled gold. Handmade in New York.

There was never a moment that Emilie Shapiro didn't consider herself an artist. "Before I could speak," she says, "I expressed myself through what I made with my hands." While getting her degree in metalsmithing at Syracuse University, she spent a summer at Alchimia Contemporary Jewelry School in Florence, Italy. "I have a massive stone collection that I started when I was two," and to spark inspiration, she says, "I usually pull out my drawers of gems and minerals and something catches my eye."

This is a made-to-order item that ships directly from the maker. If you order today your item will ship no later than 2/3/2026.

Items that are made to order or oversized can't be sent in a Gift Bag. The artist needs 5 weeks for this made-to-order item. It's elegant blue sapphire and rainbow moonstone will shimmer at night but that doesn't mean you can't wear it to grab a coffee!
