Too hard

2

This is a good idea but proved too difficult. My wife is great at baking cookies, brownies, etc and love truffles, but this ended up being harder to pull off than a souffle. Rather than a fun activity with a reward at the end, it ended up being a frustrating affair that didn't turn out.

Chocolate Truffles are Awesome

4

The chocolate truffles were pretty good once made. The instructions weren't perfectly clear. We needed to buy additional dark chocolate because the chocolate wasn't hardening in the freezer. I expected the cocoa powder and sea salt to be garnishes but the instructions said to roll the ganache in them. It made for some very salty truffles.

Perfect for the chocoholic in my family!

I got my mom a deal to go to a chocolate-making class, and she loved it. This was the perfect opportunity to give her the same experience right at home! She was thrilled when she opened it!

not worth the money

1

I got this as a gift for my mom thinking it would be a fun activity for us to do together. The directions were unclear- sometimes missing measurements of what to add and also containing typos. Additionally, the sheet it was printed on was printed with a printer that looked like it was running out of ink so it looked unprofessional. We followed the (albeit vague) instructions to a T but ended up with chocolate that kept melting- resembling ice cream more than truffles, no matter how long we left them in the freezer. They are tasty but not what was advertised. On top of that, the ingredients included were such small amounts, you probably already have them in your kitchen or could buy them for $5 total. NOT WORTH the price tag! Look up your own recipe and make a kit yourself!

Looks yummy. I should end up with some.

Someone must eat all the good stuff. Better yet, I do not have to do the work. Someone who loves to will make them.

Great gift to make together!

Got this for my mother's birthday so she hasn't opened it yet but I can't wait! She loves growing things, is an avid gardener, and loves chocolate, so you really can't go wrong with this gift. I'm sure she'll love it and I'm really excited for her to ask me to help her make it or include my sister in the process as well.
