I bought a $20 gift certificate as part of a secret santa exchange at work just a few days ago (holiday party was 12.6). Since I didn't know my recipient well at all (and he didn't specify any likes -- only the "i'm open to anything!" statement on his form), I thought it would be a perfect gift. It's different than the typical (and mass) retailers like Target, B&N, Starbucks or Macy's. I work for a marketing agency, and since this recipient was a creative director, it only made sense to break the norm and buy an uncommon goods gift card! He loved the uniqueness of it! (esp when I included the catalog).

Bought for a Christmas gift but wanted to keep it for myself
We had a virtual White Elephant gift exchange at work so I chose something I could keep for myself if we decided not to ship them. This gift sat wrapped on my desk for over a week and made my office area smell amazing. Would definitely order these for myself or as a gift in the future.

Gift for work Secret Santa
This was purchased as a secret Santa gift for a co-worker. Knowing only minimal information from a list of likes/dislikes this was the perfect gift for a professed baseball lover. Guaranteed to not already own it, and hopefully learn some new facts! A great gift idea.

Perfect gift or party game
Purchased this for a White Elephant gift exchange, it was perfect. Stolen until frozen, if you're familiar with the rules. At the end of the gift swapping, we opened it up and played the game! It was a big hit.
