In the last year, the most searched terms on UncommonGoods have been: Wood, Bicycle, Beer, Men, Steel, Bike, Copper, Women, & Wedding. These terms fit in three general categories: Personas, Materials, and Activities.
A Persona is a search term that describes a subset of our customers (like Men, Women, or Hipster Dads). Materials and Activities are searches that look for products that contain the search term (such as searching for wood and finding the Reclaimed Wood Cookbook Stand) or products that improve an experience or would appeal to enthusiasts of the search term (like beer, which returns products that enhance drinking beer or help you brew your own beer). Of the top 50 search terms from May 2014 through now, half would be classified as Materials. Personas account for the fewest search terms in the top 50 and the average number of searches is also the lowest of the three categories.
