My hometown is…
Nashua, NH

My favorite UncommonGoods product in my category is…
I’m a bit obsessed with all of the Uncle Goose blocks, especially the Counting Koi Blocks. I also love the softer style ones, like the Illustrated Animal Wooden Blocks.

I’m inspired by…
I’d love to give a sophisticated answer here, but the truth is: my mom (the voice I hear talking me down whenever I think life is too hard – because it totally isn’t and I’m just dramatic) and my dad (whose voice I hear if I try to cut corners, but also teasing me for not having more fun with life).

My guilty pleasure is…
I don’t believe in guilty pleasures – I relish all my vices.

An uncommon fact about me…
I have moved 18 times (counting apartment moves, as well as cities and states).

My favorite place to eat in New York City is…
Grimaldi’s Pizza all the way!

The word that best describes me…
If I’m honest – contrary.

Working at UncommonGoods, I’ve learned…
How to talk comfortably on the phone for business.

With a pile of stuff in front of me I would make…
(You’re given washi tape, sequins, colorful string, safety pins, and felt squares.)

I would make decorative garlands with my nieces, Star and Evelyn.

Kris is a Merchandising Assistant at UncommonGoods. She has 8 tattoos, but hates getting shots. She's lived in major cities for more than a decade, but has always wanted to move to a farm. She loves gardening, from tiny window boxes filled with herbs to the rows of veggies she'll plant when her dream farm becomes a reality. And, although she studied creative writing, she hates writing blurbs about herself.

Hi Kris, I enjoyed the honest answers you gave in your interview. My question for you… what do you think about the idea and the product behind University Icons? Do you think it has the potential for success? There are not many beautiful photos of campus architecture like this and so my Dad (the photographer), his wife and myself are doing all we can to bring exposure to University Icons and help others to see what a unique gift a fine art photo from their college really is! It’s hard to find gifts that are personal to someone’s life and experiences and this product does that (we think). Any input you have is appreciated. I love Uncommon Goods and could not help getting in contact. Thanks, Diane
