What Makes It Uncommon

These adorable, easy-to-grow trees are doubly rewarding to their plant parents: They're both ornamental and agricultural. Joel and Danny Trejo grow these low-maintenance trees on their Florida farm until they're ready to produce fragrant blooms and juice-filled fruits in your home.

Tree variety is thought to be a natural cross of kumquat and mandarin orange.
Their sour fruit and sweet, edible peels (with enticing notes of apricot, tangerine, lemon, pineapple, and guava) are staples in Filipino and Malaysian cuisine.
Made in Florida.

Starting with just one plant, they're now "sharing our love of growing citrus with as many people as possible."

Requires 6 hours of direct sunlight or use of a grow light. Water at least once per week or whenever the top two inches of soil have dried out.
