I bought this as a gift and would buy it again for myself
Really liked this as a gift for someone who is getting into gardening. After starting the herbs, he's planning on transferring them outside when the weather is right!
Charming hydroponic herb kit: style and sustainability
I love this grow kit for its clear, illustrated instructions and its perfect blend of style and functionality-ideal for anyone who values homegrown herbs.
This is an easy plug and play kind of herb garden. It's so simple to start your own garden. No real work is involved just pay attention to the alerts from the blinking lights letting you know more water should be added. Seriously that's all you need to do. I plugged it in at 6am and it turns off automatically around 10:30pm. It's small enough to fit on your counter and large enough to produce a realistic amount of natural fresh herbs.
I do wish that the tabs that you place with the type of herb you are growing were plastic and not the end of the cardboard box. It would just look better on your garden. I made labels to perfect the look I wanted. A minor fix.
I purchased this for a dear friend recovering from shoulder surgery, who also is a master gardener. Currently unable to garden, she uses her kit to organize previously gathered seeds in order to prepare for & plan her fall garden. She raves about how using the kit is improving her mood while healing, helping her dream of her future gardening endeavors, & staving off boredom in the mean time! Thank you!!
I bought this for my husband for Christmas. He loves salsa (A LOT) and also likes to dabble in growing food. We aren't great at it but I figured this was small enough/big enough to satisfy him. The packaging is fun and the instructions are very thorough. We finally planted it a few weeks ago and it's coming up pretty well, the jalapenos must not grow as quickly as everything else because it's barely sprouting. It fit perfectly on our windowsill. We think the salsa will go great in our Ooma bowl too!
